WORKSHOP

Team Values Workshop:
Defining Team Values and Agreements

This workshop is designed for teams seeking to pinpoint their fundamental values, create mutual agreements, and nurture a cohesive bond. Leading up to and during the workshop, we embark on the following processes:

  • Engagement with Coaches/Leadership

  • Scheduling a Workshop

  • Reflecting on Past Experiences

  • Mindset Emphasis

  • Values Identification

  • Feedback and Compilation

  • Visual Representation

  • Display and Communication

  • Supporting the Organization

These steps create a structured and engaging process for the team to align on values, foster a positive mindset, and work collectively towards their shared vision, contributing to a more cohesive and motivated team.

Following the values workshop, the team can opt to continue collaborating with Jill over the subsequent one or two months to further refine their priorities and enhance their teamwork dynamics.

Evidence-based examples

HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC PROGRAMS

“High school athletic programs have been studied for more than a century. Early studies focused on how athletics helped foster a collective identity and generated pride for participants and community members. These studies evolved to clarify how participation brought about improvements in physical health, stress management and academic benchmarks.”

WORKPLACE CULTURE

“Simply put, organizational culture is the collective result of how people on the team think and behave, their shared values and how they react to internal and external stimuli. A company culture – and its corresponding set of guiding principles (core values) - are either decisively created and nurtured from the very beginning or - more typically - develop haphazardly over time through the beliefs and experiences of those on the team.”

WORKSHOP REVIEWS

Coach Kurtis — MVHS Volleyball Head Coach

“We brought Jill in to help our team as the previous coaching staff had been let go and the athletes were in poor spirits, had been mentally abused, and were nervous about a new coaching staff. Jill encouraged the girls to write down their fears, past experiences, and anything else that was holding them back. The girls then got to burn those papers and take a step towards a new team culture. Jill worked with the girls on mental toughness and the four agreements that they should each embrace. The girls were able to select values that they thought were important to a team environment and we found solid values that we could focus on. We have used these to form our team agreements and our culture is changing for the better! Thank you Jill!”
