From Awareness to Action:
Workplace Trauma-Informed Training

GROUP TRAINING

Working alongside individuals who have encountered, are presently facing, or have witnessed trauma can present intricate challenges, potentially leading to secondary or vicarious trauma. It's important to acknowledge that your own team members might be dealing with personal traumas or have a history of such experiences. Disregarding the well-being of your employees can expose them to burnout, secondary trauma, and even PTSD.

Our comprehensive training delves into the realm of risk factors and protective measures, equipping you with the knowledge to construct a staff and organization well-versed in trauma-informed care. Building upon the foundational Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) training, this session delves further into the intricacies of workplace dynamics, the impact of TIC not only on your team but also on the clients you serve.

Key Learning Outcomes

By the conclusion of this training, you will have acquired a solid grounding in the fundamentals of trauma-informed care. Furthermore, you'll acquire the skills to employ a trauma-informed perspective within your workplace, thereby providing robust support to your staff, leadership, and clients. This serves as the initial stride towards nurturing a trauma-informed organization, fostering reduced stress, diminished burnout, and a more harmonious team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should attend?

This training session caters to organizations seeking to comprehend the profound effects of trauma, secondary trauma, PTSD, and burnout on their workforce. We explore the art of understanding, cultivating empathy among team members, and extending this empathy to the clients we engage with.

Why should I invest in my personnel?

“Organizations have had to confront issues they never expected and find new ways to support their employees through repeated traumatic experiences. The reality, though, is that trauma is not new in our organizations. It’s not going away, either. Estimates are that six in 10 men and five in 10 women experience at least one trauma, and approximately 6% of the population will experience PTSD at some point in their lives.”
